Our purpose is to Serve, Love and Mentor (S.L.A.M.). We provide a non-judgmental, non-traditional, Christian atmosphere combined with teaching biblical principles and basic life skills. We are NOT a church; we are a supplement to the local church. We in no way intend to take members from any local church body; our only intentions are to grow the local churches by plugging the people we reach into a local church congregation. Through that, we would like to partner with area churches to offer training and special services in areas that teens and their parents struggle with on a daily bases. (i.e. Sexual Identity, Drug and Alcohol Abuse, etc) Furthermore, we take the words that Jesus said in Mark 16:15 very seriously. We are going into the entire world, proclaiming the gospel through our actions and then raising up disciples that will be able to carry out The Great Commission to the next generation. This world does not need another generation of the same old Christian judgmental hypocrites, instead what this world needs is a Savior who will rescue them, a Spirit who will lead them and a Father and a community of believers who will love them. With all this being said, We have just one last thing to say, Gods in the spot if you like it or not so we gonna do it like it aint been done and bring it like it aint been brung!

Age 39
I am a graduate of Crossville High School and Memphis State University '91 (Football Scholarship). I currently own a used car lot in Crossville and have been in the car business for a total of 12 years. I am very happily married to Sonya Bouldin, my partner in life and ministry, and we have 3 beautiful boys whose ages are 4, 9, and 18. Brett, our oldest, is a student and basketball player at Sewanee University in Tennessee. I have been working with teens for over 10 years. My wife and I have been youth ministers at several churches and owned Christian music clubs called the Underground in Crossville and Boaz Alabama. Besides Christ and our family, teenagers are our life. It is our passion and calling to Serve, Love, and Mentor. My role at the Slam is to bring the Word of God to the teenagers in a fresh and loving way through drama, song, video and any means necessary to reach these teens. It is my desire to work alongside our staff to minister to the teens in our community, schools, and other churches to not only improve their spiritual life but home and social lives as well.
I am a graduate of Collinsville High School and Snead State Community College, and was a cheerleader at both. I attended Athens State University, where I was also a cheerleader, until I married my soul mate, Gary Bouldin. We are very happily married and have been blessed with three beautiful boys...Brett 18, Blake 9 and Brady 4. Besides God, these four guys are my reasons for breathing. I'm a stay at home mom but also work at our Used Car Lot, G.B. Enterprises, LLC in Crossville, AL. I spend a lot of time talking with teens that may need advice or sometimes I simply sit there and listen and lend my shoulder for them to cry on. A lot of people say they're blessed to have us, but I see it differently...I believe WE'RE the ones who are blessed to have THEM. Besides God and family, these teens are my life...I don't know what I'd do without them. At The Slam...I want these teens to know that I love them like they are my own, to let them know they ARE needed and loved...that God created them for a PURPOSE and that they ARE somebody! I want to encourage them to be the very best they can be and that NOTHING is impossible through Christ.
